The Slieve Mish Honey Company
Founded in 2021 in Co Kerry, the Slieve Mish Honey Company began when I built my first hive and captured a swarm from my roof. By 2023 I harvested Ling Heather Honey from the slopes of the Slieve Mish mountains, selling raw Irish cut comb honey in local shops and farmers markets.
My mission is to help protect the natural richness of the Dingle Peninsula and share its unique flavours. Partnering with small-scale beekeepers in Cork and Kerry, I help to preserve biodiversity, support ethical land stewardship, and ensure rare tastes and traditions endure.

I craft single-source comb honey of exceptional purity and provenance. Rooted in trust, guided by respect for nature, and defined by uncompromising quality, the honey is a direct expression of land and craft. Each comb is harvested by hand from small apiaries where sustainable practices are upheld.
Our honey is 100% Irish, raw, and unprocessed — aromatic, textured, and presented exactly as the bees intended. Bees forage on heather, clover, and wildflowers, creating honey that reflects the wild, pure character of the land. We do not heat, spin, or blend; every comb is natural architecture, resonant with terroir. Each consumer packet’s LOT code links back to the beekeeper, apiary and harvest date, ensuring full traceability.
I am an active member of local beekeeping associations in Tralee and Killorglin, serving on committees and engaging schools with talks on hives, honey, and the vital role of bees.
Being stocked at a national outlet supports small producers, helps to prove that small-scale beekeeping can be commercially viable, and highlights its positive impact on the environment.
